On March 24, 2006 RADM Carl Seiberlich, the last Commanding Officer
of the USS Hornet, passed away unexpectedly. RADM Seiberlich,
a Sea Scout, merchant mariner, combat veteran, career naval officer,
Apollo recovery commander and award winning consultant to the transportation
industry, was clearly a leading member of “the greatest generation.” View
RADM Seiberlich’s biography.
At the request of his family, we have established a fund in his
name – the “RADM
Carl J Seiberlich Fund for Youth Education” at the
USS Hornet Museum. If you wish to make a contribution
in memory of this great American, there are two methods.
