Meet an astronaut! Witness simulated flight operations! Sit in the cockpit of a fighter jet! Former Astronaut Daniel W. Bursch (Captain, USN, RET) and other special guests will be onboard to commemorate the 39th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon mission. Is the USS Hornet Haunted? Bring the whole family and find out. The USS Hornet Museum holds its annual Monster Bash onboard the “Grey Ghost.” Visitors will get a good fright throughout the evening with haunted tours, costume contests, and other treats. Hornet Chaplain John Berger conducts church services at 11:00am in the ship's Chapel. All hands and guests are welcome. Free admission to the museum is granted for church attendees.
