Leave the car behind. Bay Area transit providers make it easy to visit via boat, rail, or bus:

Alameda/Oakland Ferry – Board the ferry at Fisherman’s Wharf; a great way to see the Bay before touring HORNET

Bay Area Rapid Transit – BART provides fast and convenient service throughout the Bay Area

AC Transit – Bus #63 is your connection from BART or the ferry terminal

Alameda/Oakland Ferry:

Service is provided by the East Bay Ferry from San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf at nearby Pier 41, the San Francisco Ferry Building, Oakland's Jack London Square, and the Alameda Ferry Terminal.

Ferry Daily Service: Operates 9:15am-7:00pm with bus connection. Disembark at Alameda Ferry Terminal and transfer to AC Transit #63.

Every Alameda/Oakland Ferry ticket comes with an attached AC Transit transfer allowing ferry riders to ride free on AC Transit buses to and from the Alameda Main Street terminal.

BART:

Service is provided from downtown San Francisco and many other Bay Area locations!

BART Weekday Service: Disembark at 12th Street Station in Oakland and transfer to AC Transit #63. The bus connection is available 5:30am-11:30pm and stops less than 3/4 mile from HORNET's pier.

BART Weekend Service: Disembark at Fruitvale Station in Oakland and transfer to AC Transit #63. The bus connection is available 5:30am-11:00pm and stops less than 3/4 mile from HORNET's pier.

AC Transit #63:

Special Service: AC Transit will be providing bus service to Hornet’s pier during the Splashdown 2009 event, July 24-26. AC Transit bus #63 will be available every 30 minutes. Check their website for actual schedule.

Connections are available from BART, the Alameda/Oakland Ferry, and other bus routes. Stops less than 3/4 mile from HORNET's pier.

ACT Weekday Service: 5:30am-11:30pm via Fruitvale or 12th Street BART and 9:00am-8:45pm via the Alameda/Oakland Ferry.

ACT Weekend Service: 5:30am-11:15pm via Fruitvale BART and 10:00am-7:00pm via the Alameda/Oakland Ferry.
