Join us on Saturday, October 20, 2018 for a lightly Halloween themed Live Aboard. Appropriate for all ages and family friendly. Costumes encouraged as outlined in our Official Costume Guidelines.

Come aboard and experience a night in the life of a sailor on a WWII aircraft carrier! We offer the ultimate overnight experience for scouts, youth groups, friends, and families!
• Sleep in restored berthing compartments where the real Hornet crew lived
• Enjoy dinner and breakfast in the Crew’s Mess

• Explore the key areas in the ship and the historical naval aircraft on board

Special Halloween additions to our program include: trick or treating, optional ghost stories, and optional family friendly Halloween themed movie. (Please note that the movie and ghost stories will be happening at the same time and you will be asked to select one or the other)

FAQs

Is there minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Children must be 6 years or older. This is for safety reasons as we are a National and Historic Landmark and some of the ladders, passage ways, and bunk beds are not sutiable for youth younger than 6 years old.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Free parking in the lot in front of the ship. No parking is available on the pier.

What can I bring into the event?

Please bring a sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, and toothbrush. All overnight bags should be no larger than an airplane carry on. Some passages are narrow and the ladders can be steep, anything larger will be difficult to carry.
