In honor of Father’s Day, the USS Hornet Museum will present a special celebration and Living Ship Day on Sunday, June 19^th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Special attractions include a children’s Magic Show at 1:00 PM.

Children of all ages can enjoy a free magic show by local magician Big Alcatraz. The show, which begins at 1:00 pm, is a fun-filled extravaganza where Big “Al” Catraz will entertain the crowd with his magical comedy act.

Big Al Catraz is the Oakland Magic Circle’s Stage Magician of the Year and a Star Performer at Pier 39.

Living Ship Day aboard the Hornet offers something for everyone, with the floating museum coming to life as an operating aircraft carrier. Exciting flight simulations will take place between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. as aircraft are lifted to the flight deck and placed into launch position. Visitors can also meet former Hornet crew, sit in the cockpit of a fighter jet, and enjoy the sights and sounds of naval aviation.

In addition, there will also be a Big Band performance that starts at 11 a.m.
